A lengthy police investigation led to an Effort man being arraigned Monday on charges stemming from a Sept. 16 automobile collision that killed two people.

Fernando Marin, 40, will have a preliminary hearing on Monday before Snydersville Magisterial District Judge Jolana Krawitz.

Marin is charged with homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment in the deaths of Brian Drogalis, 21, of Stroudsburg, and Pleasant Valley High School student Jessica Dettrey, 17, of Effort. Drogalis and Dettrey were the driver and passenger, respectively, in the other vehicle.
