A Lawton man was arraigned today on two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of two women at their home on Friday. Comanche County prosecutors say 19-year-old Xavier Adams entered a plea of not guilty to the two counts, and bond was set at $1 million. Adams is being held at the Comanche County jail.

Police say 18-year-old Bianca Ward and 20-year-old Jennifer Brown were found shot to death Friday at a home the two women shared by Ward's mother. Captain John DeBoard says Adams and Ward had been dating and that Adams became upset after seeing Ward talking to another man Friday morning.

DeBoard says Adams forced his way into the home by kicking in a side door and shot both girls several times with a .40-caliber handgun. Police say the gun was recovered at Adams' home shortly after his arrest, and that Adams confessed to his role in the slayings.
