Julius Gerodias Barba, 19, passed away on August 19, 2006 at his home in S.W. Reno. Julius was born on May 21, 1987. Julius attended St. Therese of the Little Flower Ele mentary School and graduated from Bishop Manogue High School in 2004. He would have been in his sophomore year at University of Nevada, Reno this fall. Julius was a very active participant in football and bas ketball during his years at Little Flower and Bishop Manogue schools. During the past two summer breaks from college, he worked part-time as a coffee roaster at the Costco store in Reno. Juliu's aspirations ex tended as far as the initial stages of starting his own business as a direct seller of ACN, a world wide telecommunications serv ice provider. In addition, Julius was very active in various church activities at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral, spending eight years as an altar server. From there, he moved on to being a keyboard player, a lead guitarist and finally as a can tor with the Cathedral's youth music group. Julius had a boundless passion for music, not only did he appreciate it, he made music. The wonderful memories will always remain in his family's hearts, and his parents, Felix and Dearly, will surely miss their only beloved son. Julius is survived by his parents, Felix and Dearly Barba; his maternal grandmother, Paraluman Gerodias; his maternal aunts, uncles and cousins; and his paternal aunts, uncles and cousins in Sacramento, CA. Family and friends visitation will be observed at Ross Burke & Knobel Mortuary 2155 Kietzke Lane, Reno NV on 8/24 from 12-4 p.m.; 8/25 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 8/26 and 8/27 from 128 p.m. Awaiting the arrival of family from the Philippines there will be extended visita tions held 8/28-9/1 from 4-8 p.m. with final vigil rosary on 9/1 at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on 9/2, at 9 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral, 310 West 2nd Street. Following the Mass, interment will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery on 2700 N.
