Adam Maurice Campbell, 23, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2008, in an automobile accident in Pontotoc. He was active duty U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
A memorial service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc. The Rev. David Smith will officiate.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Maurice Dale Campbell and Jackie of Pontotoc; his mother and stepfather, Ranell Walker Wakefield and Paul of Hernando; three sisters, Rana Brasher and Stephanie Williams, both of Hernando, and Angela Lentz of Senatobia; one stepbrother, Phil Hutcheson; three nieces, three nephews.

Joplin police said Saturday that the Jasper County prosecutor's office has charged Jeffery L. Bruner of Joplin with felony murder and armed criminal action in 37-year-old Derek Moore's death. Moore died after he was shot Friday night as he left a Joplin movie theater.
