Redzo Kolenovic passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brusnwick. He was 24.


He resided in South River for the past 18 years. He was a kind, gentle, caring and loving person and gave his all to everyone around him. He had a big heart for children. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He held many records in kickboxing and boxing. He studied several styles of the martial arts. He was an EMS for the South River Rescue Squad. He started his career as a firefighter at Station 51 in Monroe Township, transferred to Station 49 in Plainsboro and has been a firefighter for District 4 in Madison Park, Old Bridge, for the past two years.

He is survived by his parents, Cano and Bada, and a sister, Refika, all of South River; two grandmothers in Yugoslavia; several aunts, uncles and many cousins; his girlfriend, Bonee Maney of South River, and many treasured lifelong friends. He truly touched everyone's heart in many special ways.
