One of our favorite things we do at camp is help people who might not be able to come to camp on their own for what ever reason. I grew up in a single parent family, not that it was bad, in fact it was awesome, but I know how hard it can be to come to camp. That's why we work with the Chill Program that Burton puts on. It's also why we work with Make A Wish, there is nothing worse than not being healthy. When Make a Wish program approached us to help make Clint Roche's wish come true we were stoked. Coming to COC when you have a life threatening disease makes camp taste even better. Once you hang out with someone from the Make A Wish program you realize how no matter what you are going through or went through growing up that you had a great time.

Clint Roche came with his brothers to camp this summer and had a blast. Hanging with the pros, staying up late and riding with his brothers and new friends, having fun in Whistler, hitting the park, sitting around in front of 7-11 dinking slurpees, doing all the things that sometimes you forget are so great. Clint said "I had the best time of my life." I guess if you had to chose between chemo or coming to COC, coming to COC would win. After Clint got home from camp the cancer decided it was it's turn to win. They doctors found three brain tumors and one was inoperable. Clint died on December 9th. If you hung out with Clint or his brothers and want to say "Hey" to his family and share your memories of Clint and the fun you had together, send us an email and we'll pass it on. Cancer sucks.
