John Jeffrey Krysak, 23, of Carmichaels, died unexpectedly Monday, December 24, 2007.
He was born July 14, 1984, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of John and Michelle Schifko Krysak of Carmichaels.
Mr. Krysak was a graduate of Carmichaels Area High School, Class of 2002, and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
He had been employed by Carmichaels Municipal Authority since 2003 and earned several water treatment certifications.
He was a caring, thoughtful, empathetic and sincere young man who had a genuine respect for people. He had a passion for music and enjoyed playing his guitar. He was a member of several bands and enjoyed writing music and lyrics.
Mr. Krysak was compassionate toward stray dogs and cats and provided a home for many of them.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Nathan Krysak, at home; maternal grandparents William (Bud) and Georgetta Schifko of Carmichaels; paternal grandfather Joseph C. Krysak Sr. of Masontown; aunts and uncles Greg "Coondog" Schifko, William and Pamela Schifko, all of Carmichaels, Joseph and Patricia Krysak, Mary and Jerry Spak, all of Masontown, Diana and James Muha, Patricia and Thomas White, all of Uniontown, and David and Terri Krysak of Farmington; and many cousins, great aunts and uncles.
He leaves behind his girlfriend, Brandi Howard and her mother, Cynthia Howard of Waynesburg.
Deceased is a grandmother, Ruby Krysak.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10 a.m., the hour of prayer service, Friday, December 28, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Paul Lesako, funeral director/supervisor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Humane Society of Greene County, 183 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
