Nicholas "Nick" Dahl, 20, died at his home in Billings on Jan. 1, 2006. Nick was born on April 9, 1985, in Miles City, to Gary and Linda Dahl. Nick spent his childhood in Montana and Hawaii. He went to school in Shepherd, completing his education in 2003.

At the time of his unfortunate death, he was employed at Pizza Hut on Grand Avenue as an Assistant Manager.

Nick loved his family and friends, and had a passion for music and art. His artwork was proudly displayed on his body as he had a great love for tattoos. Thanks, Eagle Tattoo! Nick was an aspiring poet and even had some of his work published. He was very loyal, honest and true to himself, family and friends. Nick will be greatly missed by his older brother Josh, who considered Nick as his hero. He also had a great love for his mom, whom he looked up to for guidance and who never judged him. She was truly his best friend.

Nick is survived by his mother, Linda Dahl of Shepherd; his father, Gary Dahl of Keaau, Hawaii; his brother, Josh and sister-in-law Danielle and niece Melinda of Billings; grandparents Mary and Dewey Wolff of Shepherd; uncle and aunts, Mike (Tammy) Rasmussen of Billings, Kathy (Richard) Verbplanke of Buffalo, Wyo., Jolee (Dale) Baxter of Layton, Utah, Randy (Debbie) Dahl, Glendale, Ariz., Jack (Debbie) Viara of Shepherd and Mike (Debbie) Dahl of Fairview; grandpa Jerry (Edna) Bierle of Sidney; cousins, Shane, Mindy, Corey, Sharon, Christy, Shanna and Bradley. He also leaves behind many friends, including Heather, Danny, Tyler, Chad, Bryce, Tony, Chelsie, Timmy, Jason, Michelle, Cindy, Joe, Cody, Kenny and Eric, and numerous other friends and family.

A Celebration of Nick's Life will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 6, at Harvest Church, 1235 Wicks Lane. Interment will follow at Shepherd Cemetery. A reception will follow at Harvest Church.

Nick will be deeply missed by all those he has touched. He may now continue his love for the Lord with Him in Heaven.
