Icy conditions are blamed for a deadly crash in Tioga County.

State police said Kelsey Monks, 15, of Wellsboro was thrown from the sport utility vehicle she was riding in a killed. It happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Route 287 outside of Wellsboro. Police said the SUV slid on ice and collided with a pick-up truck.

The driver of the SUV and another passenger as well as three people in the pick-up truck were hurt.
