Mississippi State University student Andreas Galanis, 28 of Biloxi, was found dead in his Starkville apartment late Friday night.

According to the Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department, Galanis was reported missing Friday, after he never made it to the airport for a flight to Florida.

Authorities then searched his Starkville apartment, and found large amounts of blood. His body was later discovered in a vacant suite in the apartment.

His roommate, 28-year-old Bobby Batiste of Prentiss, Mississippi, has been charged with capital murder. Batiste is also a Mississippi State University student.

Authorities have recovered a weapon, but they have not identified it or released how the victim died. No other suspects are being sought at this time.

Oktibbeha County Authorities plan to release more information about Galanis' death Monday.
