Police have released the names of three people killed in an accident that shut down state Road 15-A near DeLand. The road was closed for several hours Friday night, WESH 2 News reported.
Florida Highway Patrol investigators said that Derek Westbay, 17, lost control of his car and crossed into the path of a pickup.
Westbay and his passenger Joshua McCormick, 17, died at the scene.
The collision also killed the driver of the pickup, William Rogers, 20, and seriously injured his passenger, Meagan Peterson, 22.
