Hancock County Sheriff Mike White released the names of the gunman and victim in a factory shooting Monday evening.
According to White, Adam Farmer, 33, shot 36-year-old Joseph Ebert of East Liverpool, at the Marsh Bellofram plant in Newell, W.Va.
Officials said Farmer shot Ebert before killing himself inside the factory in Hancock County.
Hancock County Sheriff Mike White said police believe the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute concerning the Farmer's estranged girlfriend.
White said police believe Farmer targeted Ebert.
White said Farmer was asked to leave shortly after he entered the plant at about 5:30 p.m. and walked into a supervisor area, where he had an altercation with a worker.
As several employees escorted Farmer out of the building, the Sheriff said he pulled out a handgun and shot Ebert several times in the shoulder, officials said. Farmer then turned the gun on himself as other workers attempted to subdue him.
As of Tuesday, White said Ebert was in Allegheny General hospital in Pittsburgh in good condition.
NEWS9 reported that Farmer worked at the plant about two years ago, but investigators said they don't believe the shooting was related to his employment at the plant.
White said he didn't think there was any security at the plant. NEWS9 attempted to speak with plant officials about the incident and their security situation, but they would not answer any questions.
Workers told NEWS9 anonymously that they were instructed not to talk to the media and that plant officials would be responding soon.
