Cedar Falls Police continue to investigate the Saturday night stabbing death of an Ackley man.

Treye Blythe was stabbed to death outside a rental house at 501 Clay St. Blythe had been at a party at the house.

Blythe had been stabbed in the chest. The specific cause of death will be determined by an autopsy. No arrests had been made Tuesday morning, and police wouldn''t say if they have a suspect.

"We''re interviewing witnesses right now," said Cedar Falls Police Capt. Mike Hayes.

Blythe graduated from Ackley-Geneva-Wellsburg-Steamboat Rock High School last spring. He was scheduled to start classes this week at Hawkeye Community College.

On Monday the Blythe family issued a statement expressing thanks for everyone who has shown concern and kindness following Treye''s death.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. at the AGWSR High School gym in Ackley. Online condolences may be left at www.abelsfuneralhomes.com.

Gina Hall and Angie Bigelow live next door to the house where the stabbing took place. On Monday they placed a small arrangement of sunflowers, roses and other flowers on a no parking sign on Fifth Street, near where Blythe died. A note accompanies the flowers, saying "In loving memory of Treye Blythe. Our prayers are with you and your family."
