A 21-year-old Boothbay woman was killed in an early morning accident on Route 27 in Dresden Friday, Nov. 3.


Liticia Ann Bryer died from injuries she sustained after she was ejected from a 1991 Jeep which veered off the road and flipped onto the roof at approximately 12:43 a.m., according to the Lincoln County Sheriff''s Office. The vehicle was operated by Erik Ward, 22, also of Boothbay.


Bryer was transported by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where she died. The Sheriff''s report said that Bryer was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.


Ward sustained bruises to his head and legs and was treated and released from the hospital.


The accident is still under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff''s Office, investigating officer Deputy Henry Grenier Jr., and the Maine State Police Accident Reconstruction team.


Members of the Wiscasset Police Department, the Dresden Fire Department and Gardiner Rescue also responded and assisted at the scene.
