A 22-year-old man in southeast Georgia who told a police dispatcher that he killed his parents is scheduled for an arraignment today.
Camden County Sheriff''s Lt. Williams Terrell says Tye Christopher Watkins called 911 Monday morning and told the dispatcher: "I just killed my parents."
Deputies responded to the home in an affluent waterfront neighborhood near the Navy''s submarine base at Kings Bay.
They found 47-year-old Thomas Jefferson "T.J." Watkins and 44-year-old Cindy Trott Watkins dead of multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities did not know if Tye Watkins had retained an attorney.
Investigators have not discussed a motive, but Lt. Terrell says the couple reported their son missing a few hours before the murder.
Watkins lived with his parents. He has a sister who lives across the street from his parent''s home.
Family friends told First Coast News that the couple was very involved with several churches. Thomas Jefferson Watkins, who was known as "T.J." to friends, was a retired Navy chief. Most recently, he worked at the Kings Bay Sub Base. Cindy Watkins was retired.

WOODBINE, Ga. -- The 22-year-old man who called 911 on Monday morning to say he'd just killed his parents appeared before a Camden County magistrate on Tuesday and charged with two counts of felony murder and one count of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Tye Watkins is accused of shooting his father and mother with a 357 magnum in their home in the 1300 block of Mush Bluff Road, north of St. Marys. He called the sheriff's office at 6:30 a.m. to say he had shot them and he would wait for deputies to arrive.
"He wanted them to know that he would be out on the front porch and would not be armed," Camden Sheriff's Office Lt. William Terrell said.
Authorities said the body of 47-year-old Thomas Watkins was downstairs and that of 44-year-old Cindy Watkins was upstairs. Both were shot multiple times.
The elder Watkins, known as T.J., was a retired Navy chief who was working as a civilian at Kings Bay. Until recently, he was also music director at the Five Point Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach.
Deputies said Tye Watkins' parents had filed a missing persons report hours a few hours before the shootings. Neighbors said the son had been missing for several days.
Deputies said no one else was home at the time of the shootings. The victims' daughter lives across the street.
Friends and neighbors told Channel 4's Laura Mazzeo that they could never have imagined seeing crime-scene tape wrapped around what seemed to be such a happy family home.
After a brief hearing Tuesday, Watkins was bound over to superior court.
