A 29-year-old Conway woman was shot and killed at her home at 3 p.m.

Conway Police Officers have issued a warrant and are currently looking for Brittany Alexis Johnson, 17, in connection with the shooting on Bayside Avenue in Conway, according to a statement released by Conway Police spokeswoman Catina Hipp.

While on patrol in the Huckabee Heights Housing Area, a Conway Police Officer was flagged down and told that someone had been shot.

Monica Burroughs was transported to Conway Medical Center, where she later died at about 3:40 p.m. of a gunshot wound to her chest, said Horry County Coroner Robert Edge.

Conway Regional Medical Center was on lockdown for about an hour today due to an overflow of Burroughs' friends and family.

Hospital security was screening individuals as they entered the emergency department, and those without injury or in immediate need of service were not being allowed into the facility. The lockdown last for about an hour.

Burrough's autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday morning. The case is under investigation.
