A rural Marseilles woman died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle accident in Miller Township near Stavanger.
Ashton R. Frieders, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene by the La Salle County Coroner's Office. She was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Derek R. Homerding, 23, of 1373 N. 36th Road, Ottawa.
The vehicle rolled over on East 30th Road, a quarter mile north of North 33rd Road. Homerding was taken to Morris Hospital by Seneca ambulance personnel. He was listed in good condition this morning.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the coroner, La Salle County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and the La Salle County State's Attorney's Office.
