A heartbroken father has paid tribute to his young daughter who died suddenly at home.
Sophie Privett was found dead by a friend who had called round to her flat. She was just 20 years old.

Dad Stephen Privett last saw his daughter alive two days earlier when he had dropped her off for a night out with friends.

'I was lucky because when I dropped her off I told her I loved her,' he said.

'She was my life and all the family loved her and will miss her so much.'

Sophie, from Hunts Pond Road, in Locks Heath, had been struggling with a rare blood disorder called common variable immunodeficiency since she was 11.

It meant she had virtually no immune system and she had to go into hospital at least once a fortnight for treatment and to ward off infections.

But despite this, Sophie's family say she was still the life and soul of the party who had many friends.

Mr Privett said: 'It was her mission in life to cheer up other people .

'She was a real family person - she loved her family with all her heart and all her soul.

'Whenever she wrote a letter she always used to draw a smiley face at the bottom and write "smile" next to it.

'She would just cheer all her friends up whenever they were down and would always put a smile on their faces.

'She was resilient, but she struggled through life with health problems and it just got too much for her.'

Tribute pages have been set up online for Sophie, who went to Brookfield Secondary School and Fareham College.

They have been swamped by messages from scores of friends and family.

Mr Privett, 43, of The Hurdles, Locks Heath, added: 'She believed in God and we do honestly believe she is in a better place now.'

Sophie, who died on Sunday, June 29, also leaves behind mum, Maggie, and brother Christopher.
