Brandon Michael Barton Shipley, age 23, of Jacksonville, FL, died of injuries received in an automobile accident Friday, June 20, 2008 in Jacksonville. He had a big and loving heart, was known as a daredevil with a great sense of humor and full of life. He loved to cook and worked with his father at The Wine Cellar restaurant in Jacksonville. He loved hip-hop music and doin' his own rap and hanging with his friends whom he loved. Brandon was a devoted New York Yankee's fan. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Shipley. Brandon is survived by his mother, Brandi J. Barton-Shipley of St. Albans, father Wayne M. Shipley of Jacksonville, FL, maternal grandparents, Howard and Joan Barton of St. Albans; fiancZe, Nicole Young of Jacksonville, aunts and uncles on his mothers side, Vicky and Roger Fields of Jacksonville, FL and Tornado, Craig and Tina Barton of Traveler's Rest, SC, Brian and Michelle Barton of St. Albans and Greg and Joanie Schirtzinger of Winfield; and on his fathers side, David Shipley and John Shipley and his daughter Jennifer of Jacksonville, FL, and a half brother Damian Arlyn of Corvallis, OR. Brandon was loved by all his cousins, Joshua, Isaiah and Caleb Fields, Craig and Tawnya Mosteller, Scott and Sharon Key, Jonathan Barton and his sister Heather Barton, Benjamin Barton and his sister Hannah Barton. A memorial service will be held Friday June 27, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Arlington Park Funeral Home, 6920 Lone Star Road, Jacksonville, FL. The family would encourage and appreciate that his friends to come forward and share memories of Brandon. Following the memorial service friends may gather at 1858 Anniston Road, The home of his aunt, Vicky Fields for light refreshments and further sharing.
