Joshua Michael Herring, 18, of 23 Granada Drive, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of Ronald Phillip and Cynthia Charlene Allen Herring.

Joshua was a junior at Greenville High School and attended Burnsview Baptist Church. He worked part time at Business Loan Express.

He loved music and playing his guitar, playing pool, rappelling, drag racing, and riding his dirt bike. He recently took up scuba diving, and enjoyed hiking and target shooting and was an avid movie goer and was in the ROTC. He loved God and his family and his smile will never be forgotten.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his very special grandparents, Nancy Christine Hudson Johnson and Johnnie N. Johnson of Greer; an aunt, Marlana "Jeanie" Burrell; uncles, Jason Burrell and Jim McGraw; a special cousin, Michael Isaiah Burrell; and his girlfriend, Alisha Green.

Visitation will be held this evening, May 12, 2006, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 13, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
