Kevin Caley Meara passed into God's loving hands Monday morning at his family's home in Hamilton. Son of Kevin John and Maryann Chiappetta Meara and brother of Killian Raffaele and Kelly Rose, Kevin, known as KC, was born April 23, 1984. KC was a lover. Along with his family and friends, music was his heart, life and soul. KC loved music and was an accomplished, self-taught drummer. KC also loved to write and to transpose those writings into music. KC loved Disney World, loved cruising in his many cars blaring the music of a newly discovered band, loved the first beautiful days of Spring, loved helping people, loved the significance of his tattoos and loved his birthday. KC was rewarded with many friends, but it was his mother who was his best friend and who he loved confiding in and his Pops who he loved and who, together, were "two peas in a pod," and "poured out of the same mold." KC was especially proud of his sister and brother and their common interest in music. He also was proud of his sister's soccer accomplishments and his brother's complete knowledge of cars. He also loved teasing them (dead legs were a common occurrence). KC was like his beloved Spiderman, mysterious yet captivating. He always helped those in need and would always be there to lend a helping hand. His smiles and grins lit up a room and the hearts of those who were with him. KC aspired to return to Mercer County College to further his artistic abilities and to share his special talents with the world. KC shared a part of himself in his writings; "I walk my own path, don't care what you think, set free by the light. I do most of my thinking while the rest of the world sleeps." KC graduated from Steinert High School in 2002 and attended Mercer County Community College. KC was formerly employed by Mercer County Special Services School District at the Junior/Senior High School which he considered an important and rewarding time in his life as he received much fulfillment in helping his students with special needs. Predeceased by his grandparents, Philip J. and Marjorie Meara, KC is survived by his loving parents, Kevin and Maryann; his brother Killian Raffaele; his sister Kelly Rose; his grandparents, Raffaele and Marie Chiappetta; his aunts and uncles who he shared a special bond with, Philip and Lynne Meara, David and Sheila Meara, Brian and Dee Meara, Gerard and Ingrid Meara, Sean and Maryellen Meara, Mark and Cynthia Meara, Jacqueline and Terry Mulryne, Kathy and Johnny Macciocca, and Chip and Anna Chiappetta; his very special cousins; his sponsors Tom Garofola, Paulie Tessein and John Hulick; and his dog Tweak. KC was especially close with his Mom Mom and PopPop, who was his Confirmation Sponsor.
