The teen who died after falling at Cliff Cave Park has been identified as Sean P. Contini, 18, of south St. Louis County.

Police say Contini fell about 50 feet off a cliff Sunday at Cliff Cave County Park in south St. Louis County, police said.

About 5:30 p.m. Sunday, police say, Contini was climbing down a rock wall to a cave a few feet below when he slipped and fell.

Early reports say he fell about 50 feet.

He was pronounced dead at St. Anthony's Medical Center in South County.

Contini lived in the 6100 block of Erb in South St. Louis County.

A spokesperson for the Mehlville School District said that counselors would be available for students and staff.
