Investigators say high speed and alcohol are possible factors in a crash that killed three people. It happened in Wagoner County just after ten o'clock Thursday night. News On 6 anchor Craig Day reports the wreckage and one survivor weren't discovered until early Friday morning.

Investigators with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the car was headed north too fast along 353rd East Avenue, just north of the Muskogee Turnpike. That's where the driver lost control on a curve.

"She asked him to slow down, looks like he dropped his wheel off the left hand side of the road, attempted to correct himself and over corrected. And, went off the right hand side of the road, just missing the guardrail and careening over into the creek itself," said Scott Miller with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The car ended up overturned in a creek bed. Three men, including the driver were killed. The OHP says 21-year-old Brandon Looper of Coweta, 25-year-old Mathew Ennis of Coweta, and 20-year-old Brandon Hargrove of Wagoner died in the crash.

A 20 year old woman, the only survivor pulled from the wreckage, has a minor head injury, broken arm, broken shoulder and ankle. She was the only one in the car wearing a seat belt. Sarah Morrow of Mannford was in the wreckage in the creek overnight before being discovered by someone driving by.

"He said he saw the skid marks, so he stopped and went back and looked in the creek. He yelled down to see if anyone was there and he heard her yelling for help. He went down in the creek and brought her back up," said Scott Miller with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators say in addition to speeding, alcohol is also believed to be a factor in the wreck.

"There was some evidence that alcohol may have been involved. She did state that she had had some to drink and the driver had some to drink, but she didn't know how much," said Scott Miller with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
