The Santa Clara County medical examiner has identified a 25-year-old man who died early Saturday after crashing his motorcycle into a road barrier in San Jose at high speed.
Just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Jackson and 18th streets, San Jose Police Officer Enrique Garcia said. Upon arrival they found San Jose resident Dustin Potter lying on the ground; he was pronounced dead in the intersection.

Police believe Potter was speeding eastbound on Jackson Street when he struck a roundabout at the intersection of 18th Street. Potter lost control and struck a parked car, Garcia said.

Preliminary investigation does not indicate that drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash, Garcia said.
