Prosecutors say a 15-year-old from Chicago charged with murder in the death of an eighth-grader warned the boy a few days before the shooting that he was on a "death list."

Friends and family say 13-year-old Sameere Conn stopped at a store Oct. 1 after playing football and was shot through a window.

Prosecutors said 15-year-old Sebastian Rodriguez fired the shots that also wounded a 27-year-old man.

Assistant State's Attorney Maria McCarthy said during a bond hearing that three days before the shooting, the defendant and another witness had a three-way phone conversation with the victim.

Cook County Circuit Judge Raymond Myles denied bail Tuesday for Rodriguez, who is charged as an adult.
