Garrett David Pomeroy, 18, of Wesley Chapel, Fla passed away Sept 15th after a brave battle with cancer. Garrett was an athlete who loved to play and watch football. He also enjoyed boating, wakeboarding, water-skiing, dirt biking, snow boarding, skiing. As an artist, Garrett loved to sketch drawings and design tatoos. Garrett enjoyed performing magic tricks, making people laugh and helping people in need and inspiring their very best. He would like his loved one to always remember, "You cherish moments by doing stuff, not by doing nothing". He attended Wesley Chapel High School and graduated from Florida Youth Challenge Academy. He is survived by his parents, Terry and Karen Pomeroy; sister, Caramie Pomeroy, all of Wesley Chapel, Fla; grandparents, David Jones, David and Kathryn Wilcox, all of Erie, PA; great grandmothers, Winifred Wilcox and Helen Bauer; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm at MacDonald Funeral Home 10520 N. Florida Ave, Tampa. A funeral Mass will be said 10 AM Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Tampa. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Clearwater, Fla.
