A 19-year-old man who allegedly fatally stabbed a teenager at a house party late Friday night near San Francisco State University in the Ingleside neighborhood was arrested this morning, a sergeant said.

Martin Martinez was taken into custody around 1:45 a.m., San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

Martinez, of San Francisco, allegedly got into an argument with 17-year-old Angelo Zuniga at a house party at 439 Holloway Ave. The argument turned into a fight in which Martinez stabbed Zuniga multiple times in the chest, Williams said. Paramedics responded along with police.

Zuniga was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The teen was a resident of the city, San Francisco medical examiner's office investigator James Fiorica said this morning.

San Francisco police are continuing to investigate the homicide, which was reported at about 11:50 p.m.
