A 26-year-old woman was killed when her car struck a light pole in northwest Portland Friday night.
Police identified her as 26-year-old Desha Beamer.
According to police, Beamer was driving an older model BMW west on West Burnside Street at a high rate of speed about 11:30 p.m. when the vehicle crashed for an unknown reason near the intersection with 15th Avenue.
Police said the crash did not involve any other vehicle, but they were still investigating the cause Saturday
