Aaron Fuller, lead singer of San Francisco Misfits-inspired punk band Plan 9, died Tuesday night in a motorcycle accident. Fuller was riding his cycle home when he went off an overpass and died on impact. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

Plan 9 began as a one-show only Misfits cover band in 1997. The band sold out its first show, which was attended by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett of Metallica. After playing shows as a Misfits cover band for several years, Plan 9 began writing original songs in the style of The Misfits. The band recently released its second album, Manmade Monster. People that have seen the band swear that they sound and look just like the original Misfits, maybe even better.

Bassist Barrie Evans commented on the tragedy, saying, "It is a sad day for us and all who knew and loved Aaron. He joined the band reluctantly and bloomed into an amazing singer and front man. Will we carry on? I think so. Aaron would have wanted it that way."
