An Anderson woman died Sunday in a single car crash on Interstate 69 near Pendleton.

Twenty-year-old Sarah Woodruff was driving her 1999 Mercedes southbound on I-69 shortly before 1 p.m. when she lost control of the vehicle and drove into the median. Investigators say the vehicle then rolled six times and came to rest upside down in the median. Woodruff was ejected from the vehicle, landing on the interstate. She was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Fishers where she was pronounced dead.

Accident investigators believe Woodruff overcorrected after driving into the median, causing the vehicle to roll. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
