Collin Todd Wolter, 24, of Roselle, Illinois and formerly of Fort Myers, died December 3, 2008. Collin Wolter loved people, and they couldn't help but do the same in return. "Collin was cute, funny, smart and had a great smile," said his grandfather, Gary Wolter, of Naples. "He'd always end his phone calls with an 'I love ya.'"

His family remembers him as a boy who always smiled, enjoyed being with his family and took time to play with the younger children. With his charming personality and quick wit people were easily drawn to Collin.

"He was like the Pied Piper. When he walked into a room all the siblings and cousins gathered around him," said his grandmother, Marilee Wolter, of Naples. "He had it all: good looks, wit and intelligence."

"He adored his brothers and sister and they all looked up to him," said his mother, Lynn Taylor, of Roselle, IL. "They always had such a blast together."

Collin earned his associate's degree from Edison College and was working toward a degree in business and marketing. Most recently he worked in the restaurant industry where he was praised for his hard work and how he served his customers.

"Service is where Collin really shined. All of his co-workers loved him," said his father, Todd Wolter, of Fort Myers. "He had such a good heart - he really was a people person." Collin's mother said he hoped to have his own restaurant one day. He loved to read and went to the library to check out non-fiction books. Collin was often seen on the back porch reading books on how to improve himself.

Additional survivors include a sister, Lauren Wolter, a brother, Michael Wolter and stepmother, Kathleen Wolter, of Fort Myers; and brothers Alex and Max Taylor and stepfather Steve Taylor of Roselle, IL; maternal grandparents Gordon and Kathryn Terry of Brookfield, WI; step grandparents Tony Rizzo and Judith Taylor; and uncles, aunts and cousins in Fort Myers, Atlanta, Illinois and Wisconsin.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday, December 12th at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Fort Myers.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Collin's name to Southwest FL Addiction Services Outpatient of Fort Myers FL.
