A 21-year-old Overbrook man died and four teenagers were injured Thursday evening when their car flipped during a high-speed drive in Osage County, Kansas Highway Patrol said.

Anthony D. Culbertson, the driver of the car, died after he was ejected from the 1997 Ford. Around 5 p.m., Culbertson was driving at a high rate of speed north on Paulen Road, half a mile north of US-56 highway, when passengers told him to slow down. Culbertson hit the brakes too hard, KHP said, and the car went airborne and rolled.

The driver and two passengers were ejected.

Marissa L. Dehart, 15, of Rossville; Alyssa M. Wilson, 18, of Topeka; Jayna Thompson, 17, of Topeka; and Hannah Harrington, 17, of Topeka, were all transported to local hospitals with injuries.
