Kate Moss's friend died of a heroin overdose at a party

A friend of Kate Moss died of a heroin overdose as she celebrated her 40th birthday, an inquest heard.

Trans-sexual cabaret singer Zsarday Forde had partied all night with 100 pals in Brighton last October.

Her friend John Agar told the hearing in the seaside city: "I knew she smoked cannabis... but I didn't know anything about hard drugs. I awoke to find Zsarday cold and stiff next to me."

Miss Forde, who modelled for Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen, had fatal levels of heroin in her body and traces of cocaine.

But coroner John Hooper said: "There is no evidence to suggest Zsarday wished to take her own life."

Speaking after her death, a friend of Miss Forde, who lived in Brighton, said: "Zsar was always in the nightclubs in London and around the same crowd as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. She used to tell everyone that they were good pals."
