A woman died in Terrebonne Parish after she struck the rear of a box truck in her car on Thursday.

Teresa Lipe, a 29-year-old Thibodaux resident, was driving down LA 311 around 8:15 a.m. and hit a box truck that was stopped at a red light, according to Gilbert Dardar, a spokesman for the Troop C, a division of the state police.

Dardar said that the truck, driven by 27-year-old Christopher Jeblonski, jolted forward after the collission and hit a Fed-Ex cargo van, which was also stopped at the red light.

While Jeblonski and the driver of the Fed-Ex truck, Kelly Ramey, sustained minor injuries, Lipe was pronounced dead on the scene.

All three drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Investigators are still looking into whether or not Lipe was impaired, but Jeblonski and Ramey both passed drug and alcohol tests.
