A 29-year-old Arlington woman is in the Arlington jail, accused of fatally injuring her 26-year-old boyfriend Monday afternoon by cutting his throat with a piece of glass, according to police reports.
Sherita Nicole Baker had apparently been arguing with Chad Stanley, 26, shortly before 4 p.m. at his apartment in the 5000 block of Foster Creek Lake when the cutting occurred. Officers responding to a domestic disturbance found Stanley bleeding from his neck, according to a press release issued by the department Tuesday.
He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later at 4:39 p.m. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office has ruled his death a homicide, caused by a cut wound to the neck.
Baker was arrested at the scene. Bail was set at $50,000.
