Two people are dead and three people are injured after a two-car collision in Llano county on Thursday night after one of the cars hit a deer and was forced into oncoming traffic.

Police say that a 1999 two-door Ford Taurus was driving westbound on Highway 29 around 9 p.m. when it hit a deer. The car swerved across the road and hit a 2002 GMC Yukon.

The two passengers of the Yukon are listed in good condition at University Medical Center at Brackenridge.
