A woman previously charged with driving while intoxicated after crashing her vehicle into a tree and killing three passengers received more charges Thursday night.

Amanda Sperduti, 20, of Winston-Salem, was charged with three counts of felony death by vehicle, one count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of misdemeanor exceeding a safe speed.

North Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper Mitchell Mann said Sperduti was intoxicated when she was driving on Fairgrove Church Road off Highway N.C. 150 in Browns Summit and her car ran off the road and hit a tree around 11 p.m. on Feb. 13. She was charged with DWI. Investigators said she was driving 90 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Three passengers in the vehicle were killed in the accident. Scott W. Bedwell, 23, of Greensboro; Taylor McCaskill, 18, of Browns Summit; and Sascha A. Hoffmann, 18, of Whitsett were killed. According to the school Web site, Hoffman is a 2009 graduate of Eastern Guilford High School. McCaskill and Bedwell both graduated from Northeast Guilford High School.

Sperduti turned herself in at the Guilford County Jail Thursday, where she is being held on $100,000 bond.

Her attorney, Walter Holton, says Sperduti is cooperating with investigators.

"She is cooperating with the investigation and she's made a statement to the trooper related to what she knows about the investigation. It's a very tragic circumstance, and I know for Amanda's family, their thougths and prayers are with the families." Holton said.

Sperduti has a record that includes possession of alcohol and being intoxicated in a state park. She is scheduled to appear in court April 21.
