A New Bethlehem woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident early today, according to Punxsutawey-based state police.
Kelley D. Raybuck, 21, New Bethlehem was driving a 2007 Chevy Cobalt on 5 Mile Run Road about four-tenth of a mile south of Johns Hill Road in Knox Township at 12:35 a.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve. Raybuck's car left the highway, hit a large boulder and became airborne for 23 feet before landing on the passenger side in the middle of the road.
She was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Bernard Snyder.
Police were assisted by Jefferson County EMS and Pine Creek Township Fire Department.
