A teenager has died after falling from his skateboard while being pulled behind a Jeep.
Deputies responded to a traffic collision report shortly before 7 p.m. Sunday in the area of Cuyama and Del Norte Roads.
Witnesses say 18-year-old Cody Doolittle, along with another teen, were being pulled behind a Jeep convertible -- a practice known as "skitching" -- when Doolittle's skateboard hit the right rear wheel of the jeep, causing him to fall.
Doolittle, who sustained head injuries, was unresponsive at the scene when Ventura County Fire personnel arrived.
Crews were able to revive Doolittle who was transported to Ventura County Medical Center.
Doolittle died shortly after arriving at the hospital.
