A combination of alcohol and teenagers behind the wheel turned into a deadly situation in Rutherford County.
Investigators said Jeffrey Dudley, 18, was drinking when he lost control of his Blazer Sunday morning and died. The THP says Dudley was going too fast when he tried to exit I-24, at exit 74A.
Robert Snyder, another teenager in the Blazer, was also hurt in the crash. Investigators say he was also drinking, so he's charged with underage consumption.
