Saturday night, Nick Bucher was killed while biking in inner SE Portland, at 26th and Stark. The driver, who has a history of careless driving and speeding, was cited for 4th-degree assault, presumably for speeding.
The crash reminds us all of the fatal consequences of speeding.
Nick, 24, was a cook at Noble Rot restaurant. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
