Austin Keith Sosnoskie, 18, passed from this earth into the loving hands of his Heavenly Father May 27, 2010. He was born January 26, 1992, to Michell Jackson Sosnoskie and Keith Douglas Sosnoskie in Tarzana, Calif. He attended HPISD schools and is a May graduate of the Alexander School. He was to have attended Colorado State University in the fall. Friends and extended family who had the privilege to know him remember him as a happy child, precocious, playful and always in search of a new adventure. His quest to passionately live each day to the fullest continued throughout his much-too-short life. He is remembered as a great outdoorsman and athlete. He loved skiing in Colorado, vacations in Hawaii, running lacrosse camps for neighborhood boys and working at Nicholson Hardie. He a was an avid hunter and naturalist, happiest on the family ranch in East Texas. He was a blessing to all whose paths he crossed and he cared deeply about others. His volunteer work included spending time at a community garden and doing mission work with HPUMC, where he was a member. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Abbey Sosnoskie and Lindsey Sosnoskie Maffeo; a grandmother, Patricia Ann Grant, plus other family and frienda. Services are Tuesday, June 1, 2 pm, at Highland Park United Methodist Church, in the Cornerstone sanctuary. In keeping with Austin's life, guests are invited to dress casually.
