Police are investigating the unrelated deaths of a man and woman, both in their 20s.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives were called to the 3200 block of West Washington Street just after 9 a.m., where 23-year-old Eber Vargas had been pulled unconscious from a black Honda Civic.

The car was parked in a bay behind Carnow Co., an auto dealership. Employees tried to revive Vargas before paramedics arrived, according to an IMPD report.

Vargas was taken to the Marion County Coroner's office.

Earlier this morning, Andrea R. Yates, 26, was found dead in bed at 1230 N. Rochester Ave. at 4:48 a.m., according to IMPD. Her husband told police when he found her unconscious when he awoke.

Though homicide detectives were called in both cases, investigators were unavailable to comment on whether the deaths were suspicious.
