A 20-year-old University of Illinois student and member of Delta Delta Delta sorority was killed in the summer of 2008 after attending a Chicago White Sox game and a bar. She apparently got upset after fighting with the friends she was with, and left the bar to walk home. Not the greatest decision, but hey, we've all made bad decisions before. Unfortunately this decision is one that cost Melissa Lech her life. She was struck by a car that subsequently drove away, and was left to die on the street.
