Tracy Marie Arens, age 27 of Yankton, South Dakota and formerly of Crofton, Nebraska, died in a one-vehicle accident southwest of Crofton on Saturday, September 18, 2010.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, September, 21, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Rev. Michael Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton.

Visitation will be on Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service and Video Tribute at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.

Tracy was born on October 12, 1982 at Yankton, SD to Bill and Vicki (Maly) Arens. She grew up in Crofton and graduated from Crofton High School in 2001. For the past year she has lived in Yankton where she worked at the Stepping Stones Day Care Center.

Tracy is survived by her 3 children, Makenzie Sassaman, Cody Sassaman and Elyse Larson all of Yankton; her parents, Bill and Vicki Arens of Crofton; a brother, Ben "B.J." Arens and his fiancé Sarah Paulsen of Yankton, maternal grandparents, Charles and Mariellen Maly of Crofton; paternal grandmother, Lucille Arens of Yankton; maternal great grandmother, Clara Jilg of Yankton; aunts and uncles, Kay and Rocky Wampol of Yankton; Russ and Jenny Maly of Sumner, Washington; Tim and Cherrie Maly of Norfolk, Virginia; Lori and Gordy Mueller of Crofton; John and Beverly Maly of Augusta, Kansas; and Amy and Pete Bramschreiber of Crofton.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Gilbert Arens and an uncle, Rick Maly.
