An 18-year-old San Francisco man who was found shot on the street just off Geary Boulevard, died early Saturday morning, police said.

The San Francisco medical examiner identified the victim as Ilya Yurchenkov.

Police spokesman Boaz Mariles said officers were called to the scene of a shooting at about 11:30 p.m. Friday at Geary Boulevard and Lyon Street and found Yurchenkov had been hit by multiple gunshots. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 1:40 a.m. Saturday.

Mariles said a male suspect is in custody.
