A second man wanted in connection with a weekend homicide in Springfield turned himself in to authorities Thursday morning.

Elijah B. Muldrow, 20, of the 1500 block of South Seventh Street was arrested about 5:15 a.m. by members of the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force. Muldrow called police and made arrangements to turn himself over to them.

Muldrow is charged with first-degree murder. His bond is set at $2 million.

He is accused of pulling the trigger in the shooting death of Jarrard Norris, 20, about 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of South Seventh.

Kenneth T. Shaw Jr., 18, of the same address as Muldrow, was charged previously with first-degree murder in the case. His bond has been set at $1 million.

Shaw, who made his first court appearance Wednesday, is charged under the theory that accomplices in a crime are accountable for the actions of the others, authorities said. A preliminary hearing on the charges was set for June 17.

Muldrow faces a sentence of 45 to 85 years in prison if convicted, and Shaw faces a sentence of 20 to 60 years.

Shaw was arrested Saturday night in the basement of a home in the 2100 block of North Sixth Street.

Police said the shooting occurred after intermittent fighting throughout Saturday between two groups of people that included Norris, Muldrow and Shaw.
