A Norfolk man will spend 29 years behind bars for killing a woman in her apartment on Azalea Garden Road.
42-year-old Derrick Andrey Wade, of the 3100 block of Azalea Garden Road, was sentenced Friday for one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, according to the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.
Angela Hoskie's father found her shot to death inside her apartment in the 2700 block of Azalea Garden Road at around 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 8. Hoskie was 37 years old.
