James R Kuhr, age 44, of Oshkosh joined the Lord early on March 29, 2010, after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer and other ongoing health issues. Jim was born in Oshkosh, WI on June 29, 1965, the son of Gerald "Jerry" and Karen (Schiessl) Kuhr. He grew up in Omro Wisconsin but moved to Oshkosh when he met his wife Brenda Brooks-Kuhr. Jim and Brenda had twenty years together although they married on September 16, 2000.

Jim leaves behind two sons: Gerald W.W. Kuhr of Oshkosh, and Andrew (Lindsey) Brooks of Waupan, one brand new Grandson Liam K Brooks, Brother Jason (Tania) Kuhr of Omro, Sister Rhonda (Mike) Griffin of New Berlin, Mother Karen of Omro, wife Brenda of Oshkosh, and several wonderful Aunts and Uncles, Christine (Louie) Christiansen, Neenah, Diane Grimmer, Neenah, Suzanne Kuhr, Appleton, Tom and Carol Schiessl of Oshkosh and David Schiessl of CA. In-laws as well as many very extraordinary friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father Gerald, grandparents, William and Eleanor Schiessl and Howard and Margaret Kuhr, Aunts and Uncles, Tom Kuhr, Ronald James Kuhr, David Kuhr and Carol "Curly" Kuhr.

Many will remember Jim as an employee of Bob's Mini Mart of Oshkosh because he really loved helping "His People" daily.
