A Nashua teenager is dead and another critically injured after a car crash Sunday morning.
Police said 19-year-old Shawn Eckert died when his car collided with a minivan on Route 110.
Officials said Eckert's friend, 18-year-old Jared Bazelmans, of Nashua, was taken to a hospital.
Bazelmans is listed in critical condition.
Neighbors in Nashua said the teens were best friends.
Residents in Dracut said that part of Route 110 is notorious for accidents.
"The highway is pretty close," Janet Dumais, of Dracut, said. "In their head, people think they can speed. It's very dangerous."
The accident is still being investigated. Police say speed may have been a factor.
